Supporting The Katy Holmes Trust

Share

We’re delighted to support the work of the Katy Holmes Trust, if you too can help them in any way, no matter how big or how small you can rest assured that it’s for the best of causes.

As Paula Holmes (Katy’s Mum) told us:

Katy Holmes TrustThe Katy Holmes Trust was set up in memory of beautiful 10 year old Katy Holmes who sadly lost her life after only a 3 month battle in January 2012 to a rare and inoperable brain tumour. Her parents, David and Paula Holmes, searched everywhere for answers and discovered that brain tumours are the BIGGEST cancer killer of children under 4 in the UK. They also found that research into this area is woefully under-funded with less than 1% of the national cancer spending being allocated to brain tumours. We do not know what cause brain tumours or how to effectively treat them all so the Katy Holmes Trust has been set up to fund paediatric brain tumour research.

We are very fortunate that thanks to a matched funding opportunity available through the research we are funding via the Brain Tumour Charity we can turn every £1 donated into £2.28! This is a great way to more than double your money and help us find that cure quicker! You can donate via our Just Giving page here: http://www.justgiving.com/katyholmestrust Please do visit the website and learn more about Katy’s story and our journey as we continue to fight on: http://www.katyholmestrust.co.uk

Fostering Mortgages

Share

Whether you’re a foster parent, carer or merely exploring the options, you might have realised that many banks & building societies are quite unhelpful when it comes to how they look at fostering income for mortgage purposes.

As Fostering income is treated differently for tax, the net income shown on your tax return or SA302 tax calculation from HMRC may be insufficient for the mortgage you want.

At Martland Mortgages, we’ve used out contacts, experience & reputation to gain access to lending facilities specifically geared for fosterers where fostering allowances are counted as income for the purposes of calculating the mortgage.

Visit Foster Mortgages, or for more information call us on 01704 808286 or complete our application factfind.

Ex-Pat Mortgages

We can now offer mortgages for ex-pats and in-pats (those living in the UK but domiciled elsewhere).

Contact the office on 01704 808286 or complete our Factfind to see what we can do for you.

BTL – did you know?

Share

Did you know that most Buy-to-Let lenders have a requirement for a minimum income of £25,000 before they’ll consider a loan?

But we have access to a Building Society with no threshold – so if that’s what you need in a BTL mortgage then fill in our factfind and let’s see what deal we can find.
